What do you stand for? Do you move with the wind or are you the wind?

If you stand for nothing, then, you can fall for anything. It’s a simple phrase but borrowed. The phrase is also common although how many apply it, I can’t tell.

We set intentions and boundaries that we throw out the window in the heat of the moment so easily like we weren’t serious.

This is one of the major causes of trust issues. If you can’t trust yourself to stick to your boundaries then it’s not far-fetched to think that you think others are as undisciplined as you are.

We have normalized a lot of things including physical conditions, mental conditions, financial situations et al. The lack of discipline in ourselves and among peers is also one of them that has been categorized in the human nature category.

For discipline to exist, you have to stand for something. Be committed to something.

I’ve always wondered what is the difference between the successful people and other ordinary people. Let me just call them mediocre.

Let me give an example of famous artists in the form of musicians, actors and dancers. We are mostly privy to their art. From interviews, we are able to glimpse the number of hours they put into their routines. It can not be easy or everybody could do it. The fact of the matter is, they work hard and are disciplined.

Discipline I can say for a fact goes hand in hand with success. And no, discipline is not what it looked like in school that you had to do what you are told. It is honoring a commitment no matter the situation you find yourself in.

Everybody has had a dream to become something more at one point in their life. At certain points of life, depending on what you’ve accomplished, some can’t even say out loud what their dreams are. When you are crushing it, you take pride in it. If not, you somehow feel ashamed and don’t want to revisit.

At what stage do you consider yourself at? Too ashamed, beaten down or are you crushing it?

Well, no matter. In order to achieve your dreams, turn them into goals. Of course you have the end goal but you have to break it down into smaller goals that lead up to it.

This puts you in control no matter if you are doing your dream job or not. Have your dream body, car, yacht anything. When you start in the right direction, you create a commitment which with discipline you will be able to achieve.

I don’t believe in being too late for anything. If there is a missed opportunity, then, another one will be presented to you soon enough. I believe in luck. Only that luck is created. If you work on your goals in the right direction, then, sooner or later you will find yourself catapulted forward faster than you’d think.

What generally is your perspective in life? Are you the superhero or the villain? The victim or the perpetrator? In all you do, always keep your perspective in check. It determines whether you eat or you get eaten.
